Erin has 15+ years of experience in the field of social work. She began social work in 2008 with Lifeline Youth and Family Services as a Family Consultant. Being referred by probation or DCS, Erin provided an array of services to families and children for four and a half years. She moved on to be a Youth Career Advisor for WorkOne in Newton and Jasper Counties. In 2013 Erin began working with the Indiana Department of Child Services as a Family Case Manger and was there for 12 years. My roles at DCS included assessment work where I conducted investigations of potential child abuse and or neglect, managing cases as a permanency worker, as well as being a foster care specialist. Erin's most recent experience has been with Menta Academy as a teacher for life skills and behavioral students. Menta Academy is where school districts in Illinois place children when public schools cannot meet their educational needs due to medical/physical/cognitive handicaps and or extreme behavioral issues. Now, as a caseworker with Crown Counseling, she is looking forward to applying my years of experience to working with the children and families throughout Northwest Indiana.
Geoff is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Business Administration and Religion. Geoff brings years of experience in the school system, working with youth in the Gen Ed, LD, and ED Special Ed populations. He also worked as Interim Educator at an Alternative Day Reporting Program, providing intensive supervision and educational supports to identified, at risk youth referred by the Department of Child Services or the Probation program. Geoff provides case management, home-based family centered casework, and advocates for his clients. Geoff has a positive attitude and enjoys working with youth and families to help them reach their goal achievements.
Julian is a graduate of Calumet College of Saint Joseph, earning a Bachelors and Masters degree in the arts of Psychology. He specializes in mentoring and providing Home-Based Casework to the youth. He takes great pride in assisting and helping the youth reach their full potential. Julian is a part of the baseball coaching staff at East Chicago Central High School.
Lisa is a graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Psychology and Addictions Counseling Specialization. She is a client-centered, home-based caseworker who enjoys working with all ages and assisting them in achieving their goals. Lisa is also a licensed RBT and specializes in working with children and adolescents who are neurodivergent and in educating their families in IEP development, sensory needs, and parenting education. Lisa has worked with children in foster care and has a certification in Mental Health First Aid to assist clients in crisis situations. She is also trained in DBT, CBT and TBRI.

Kim's extensive background includes: Children in Need of Services (CHINS): She has worked extensively with CHINS, providing case management and care coordination services. Healthcare Case Management: She has experience working with various insurance companies, including Tricare insurance, to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Licensed Insurance Agent: Well-versed in Medicare and life insurance. In addition to her case management expertise, certified as a Notary Loan Signing Agent, providing services related to home studies and foster care licensing. Kim has supported clients in various areas, including: Providing emotional support and guidance to foster parents and providing guidance and resources to parents seeking support. Offering care coordination and advocacy services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Working with families to ensure the well-being and safety of children. Educating families on child abuse prevention and providing support to victims. Parenting education. Advocacy for School-Related issues and assisting families with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other school-related concerns. Kim has worked with individuals with developmental disabilities, offering a holistic approach to care and service coordination. Experience supervising visitations and is dedicated to providing exceptional support to clients.
Larry was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Smith received an Associates degree in Social Service from Kennedy King College in Chicago, IL, as well as a subsequent Bachelor of Arts degree in the same filed with a minor in Social Work from Chicago State University. He completed his Masters of Arts in Inner City Studies from Northeastern Illinois University.
Larry is a licensed Suicide Prevention Instructor and Certified Parent Educator. He sits on the Advisory Board of Fruitful First and Ricky's Way - two organizations where he assists in helping directors meet a common goal of improving underprivileged communities through mentorship and allocation of resources. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with individuals who have experienced multiple levels of trauma.
Michele is a graduate of Purdue University Northwest earning a Bachelor degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. She enjoys and has experience working with children, adults and families. Her areas of specialization are in case management services, parent education, co-parenting, behavioral modification, fatherhood engagement, domestic violence, home based casework and supervised visitation with all services being provided in office, in home and in the community. Michele is passionate about advocating for her clients and helping the achieve their goals.
Miscah worked in Willowglen Academy, assisting teenage girls with goal planning and maintaining overall stability for 4 years. She also taught at Charter School of the Dunes in various capacities from 2006 - 2014. She is a licensed daycare provider in the state of Indiana and is the owner and operator of 2 daycare facilities, and has been doing case management since 2014.
Mishaela is a graduate of Indiana State University and Valparaiso University earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education in School Counseling. She is currently a licensed School Counselor and has been doing case management since 2011. Mishaela is empathetic, compassionate and takes pride in advocating for the youth and families while helping them reach and achieve their goals.
Nancy graduated from Purdue University in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Child Psychology. She specializes in behavior modification, fathers engagement, casework services, independent living skills for teens and motivational interviewing. Nancy has worked in Home-based services for over 20 years alongside the Department of Child Services and Probation to assist families and foster families in crisis.
Sam has multiple years of experience working with children in a residential setting including milieu management. Sam has also been providing case management services to families and children since 2023.
Simone Skirvin is a dedicated Home-Based Case Worker who provides comprehensive support to families through behavior modification, home-based casework, parenting education, and supervised visitation services. She brings a strong foundation of child and family advocacy from her work with the Department of Child Services, where she served as an Assessment Worker and gained experience supporting families during critical and challenging moments.
Simone holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana University Northwest, with a special focus on special education and art. Known for her empathy, patience, and compassion, she is committed to helping others navigate difficult situations and empowering families to build stability, growth, and long-term success.
Tina has experience working with adolescents in a residential setting, domestic violence, children with Autism spectrum disorder and mental health with adults. She has completed Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) training. Tina specializes in working with children on behaviors and mental health.
Starting her career in the field of child welfare in 2013, Tisha worked as an educator (including special education) for Pre-K - 12 students. For the past 4 years, she has worked as a Case Manager/Family Consultant for Children In Need of Services in both Indiana and Illinois.
