Catarina earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Purdue University Northwest and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Valparaiso University, with an expected graduation in August 2026. She brings experience from a variety of settings, including equine-assisted therapy with individuals who have cognitive and developmental disabilities, emergency services in hospitals and jails, and work with incarcerated youth and adults. Catarina is passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive space where individuals feel heard, respected, and understood. She takes a person-centered, strengths-based approach to counseling and uses evidence-based techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs. Catarina values meeting people where they are and working collaboratively to support growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
