Maggie is a current master’s student of social work at the University of Chicago. She is dedicated to making a positive impact in the field of mental health and well-being. Maggie is fueled by a genuine desire to help people navigate life's challenges, discover their inner strength, and achieve personal growth.
Maggie's approach is grounded in empathy, aiming to provide you with a secure and supportive environment where you feel comfortable exploring your life's spaces, your thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. She is known for her considerate and motivating nature and am committed to providing non-judgmental support as clients explore their path to achieving optimal mental health. Maggie wants you to feel SURE (safe, understood, respected, and empowered).
Maggie's approach includes evidence-based therapies like person-centered, CBT, psychodynamic, and motivational interviewing. All of which aim to empower you to gain understanding and implement solutions as you take meaningful steps toward your goals. She longs to work with people who are experiencing grief, loss, anxiety, and depression. Maggie continues to work on decolonizing the modalities She employs to develop a therapeutic approach that best fits not only the work we do together, but the world around us.
It is an honor to be able to create that space together. Healing is not a solitary experience, and her goal is always to walk alongside you throughout the ever-fluctuating ups and downs of life. Maggie wishes all clients to know that it's okay to ask for help and take time for themselves, seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
